We are facing incredible challenges and many crises in the world. Today instead of showing off of another pair of funky shoes I wanted to say:
Please help the victims of countless crises, like the recent earthquake in Haiti, and around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. The American Red Cross honors donor intent. If you wish to designate your donation to a specific disaster, please do so at the time of your donation by mailing your donation with the designation to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013 or to your local American Red Cross chapter. Donations to the International Response Fund can be made by phone at 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or online at Red Cross.
If you would like to help, mobile donors can text “Haiti” to 90999 to make a $10 contribution. You can also help by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or online at Red Cross.
If you are local, join the Chic SoShoeLites and friends for A “Heel”ing for Haiti community social and fundraiser. Donate a pair of new or nearly new men, women or children’s shoes or a financial donation of any amount to support earthquake survivors in Haiti. The Inn at Town Center (Quality Inn), 2001 Boundary Street, Beaufort, Friday, February 5, 2010, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Visit Chic SoShoeLites for more information regarding the fundraiser or to learn how you can make a donation.
