Simple and Elegant
A simple dress can be worn from day into night with the right pair of shoes (of course) and a little pop of color on the necklace. This Ann Taylor dress just says it all to me….simple elegance….love it.

Fun Fact Friday!
In keeping with this weeks shoe theme, today's fun wedding fact comes from Wikipedia.
You know the old saying, Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and A Sixpence for your Shoe right? Well, wearing a sixpence in your shoe is believed to bring wealth and happiness to a marriage! Typically, the sixpence is placed in the brides left shoe.
And just a reminder, tonight is the "Heel"ing for Haiti benefit/shoe drive. If you are local, join the Chic SoShoeLites and friends for A “Heel”ing for Haiti community social and fundraiser. Donate a pair of new or nearly new men, women or children’s shoes or a financial donation of any amount to support earthquake survivors in Haiti. The Inn at Town Center (Quality Inn), 2001 Boundary Street, Beaufort, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Visit Chic SoShoeLites for more information regarding the fundraiser or to learn how you can make a donation.

Wedding Wednesday
Our Wedding Wednesday tip of the day is a bit of an extension of Tuesday shoe day. Here are just a few thoughts/tips for having a ceremony on the beach:
1. Don't wear heels! Think about flip flops or other flat shoes that will give you more stability walking and standing in the sand. Save your "party shoes" for the reception!
2. Many couples like to add mats or baskets so their guests can place their shoes in/on them before entering the ceremony. Keep in mind though that many women don't like to have their shoes touch other people's shoes. So, while it's nice to give your guests the option, don't be offended if they keep their shoes on.
3. Tell your Granny to not wear any nylons (a.k.a. panty hose) the day of the wedding. We can't think of any other way to say this but wearing panty hose is like having an adult diaper rash!
We hope these have been helpful and have added a little humor to your day!

"Heel"ing for Haiti...our Tuesday Shoe Day Post
We are facing incredible challenges and many crises in the world. Today instead of showing off of another pair of funky shoes I wanted to say:
Please help the victims of countless crises, like the recent earthquake in Haiti, and around the world each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which will provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need. The American Red Cross honors donor intent. If you wish to designate your donation to a specific disaster, please do so at the time of your donation by mailing your donation with the designation to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C. 20013 or to your local American Red Cross chapter. Donations to the International Response Fund can be made by phone at 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or online at Red Cross.
If you would like to help, mobile donors can text “Haiti” to 90999 to make a $10 contribution. You can also help by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross International Response Fund by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) or online at Red Cross.
If you are local, join the Chic SoShoeLites and friends for A “Heel”ing for Haiti community social and fundraiser.
